What you need to become a supply teacher
In order to be considered as a supply teacher, you must have:
- gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This is usually achieved on gaining an appropriate teaching qualification such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE), or by following an appropriate programme offered by the Training and Development Agency (TDA)
- successfully completed your induction period (if qualified after May 1999)
- a valid enhanced disclosure certificate from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)
- satisfactory references
- registered with the General Teaching Council (GTC)
- the legal right to work in the UK.

The International Education Group is currently recruiting teachers for an urgent start in the following subject areas:
Business Studies Teacher
This is the package on offer for 2010/11
• Monthly tax free salary .
• Overseas allowance of 750 AED per month.
• Transport allowance of 250 AED per month (payable from SEP to JUN only).
• 1 Bedroom furnished (basic furniture provided), air-conditioned accommodation (apartment-type valued at circa 90 000 AED p.a.).
• Utilities (i.e., water, electricity and gas) paid to the value of 6000 AED (12 monthly payments of 500 AED). This is paid directly to DEWA by school on behalf of staff.
• Medical (basic level) insurance (provided by DNIRC) in the form of a health card for private UAE clinics (for employee only).
• Residence visa processing (excluding document attestation costs).
• End of Service Gratuity for each year of service (calculated using basic salary figure), payable in accordance with UAE law.
• Moving allowance (one-time) of up to 1500 AED payable only upon presentation of invoice and receipts which clearly indicate “professional books”. [Paid only to staff arriving in UAE for their first time].
• Settling Allowance (one-time) of 1000 AED. [Paid only to staff arriving in UAE for their first time].
• Economy (best) air ticket at the beginning and end of contract (for employee only).
• One return economy ticket for every academic year completed for July/August break (if eligible i.e., completed year of service) for employee only.
Professional development is provided but this will not appear in your contract.
